David is the author of Semitruck Wreck, A Guide for Victims and Their Families. David and his firm regularly go to trial on behalf of their clients. David is a frequent lecturer both nationally and in Indiana on how to properly handle semi and other commercial motor vehicle cases.

Patrick A. Salvi II joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., in 2007 and was named Managing Partner of the Chicago office in 2017. He concentrates his legal practice on cases concerning personal injury, medical malpractice, mass torts, and product liability.

Mr. Salvi has obtained many record-breaking jury verdicts on behalf of his clients, including a $148 million jury verdict for a paralyzed 24-year-old female and a $50.3 million jury verdict for a boy who suffered a serious brain injury at birth.

Mr. Salvi has also successfully obtained a number of multi-million-dollar settlements, including $20.6 million for a man left paralyzed after a delay in the diagnosis and treatment of a ruptured aneurysm, $19.5 million for a war veteran who suffered a crush injury to his foot, and $19.5 million for a man brain damaged after a failed routine trach exchange.

In recognition for his outstanding legal work, Mr. Salvi has been named to the Illinois Super Lawyers List since 2014. Olivera J. Bogunovic, MD, is the medical director of Ambulatory Services in the Center of Excellence in Alcohol, Drugs, and Addiction at McLean Hospital. She divides her time between clinical and administrative and teaching activities which include teaching medical students and residents as well as addiction and geriatric fellows.

Dr. Bogunovic’s scholarly work and primary area of clinical innovation is in two major areas of investigation: developing effective treatments for benzodiazepine use disorders and developing innovative treatments for elderly patients with substance use disorders.

Ms. Ramsey’s professional experience began as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Yale New Haven Hospital. While pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree, she was a counselor with the New Haven Rape Crisis Program. During her time with the Program, Ms. Ramsey counseled sexual assault survivors and performed seminars for local police departments, universities, and high schools.

During her time working as a registered nurse, Ms. Ramsey attended law school. Ms. Ramsey graduated from CUNY Law School, and is admitted in several different state and federal bars.

She has spoken and presented publications for a number of organizations, including nursing and paralegal institutions. She has published several articles for nursing journals and remains an active member of the American Association of Nurse Attorneys. She is also a member of the National Crime Victims Bar Association, American Justice Association; Palm Beach County Bar Association; Palm Beach County Justice Association; and the Florida Justice Association. Ms. Ramsey is a Florida Licensed Health care Risk Manager.

She has received several awards for community service, including the Arnold Markle award by the Judicial District in New Haven, Connecticut, for her work with survivors of sexual assault. Ms. Ramsey is currently a member of the Palm Beach County Sober Home Task Force, a member of the Florida Association of Recovery residence Compliance Committee and an active participant in a number of grass roots organizations which support individuals who suffer from Substance Use Disorder.

Ms. Ramsey actively litigates cases involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death on behalf of victims. These cases include injuries suffered by victims of professional negligence, product liability and medical negligence.

Andriy Lytvyn is a shareholder at Smith & Hopen. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Intellectual Property Law. Mr. Lytvyn received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he held the position of article editor of the Journal of Science and Technology Law. Mr. Lytvyn earned a concentration in Intellectual Property Law by completing a wide array of specialized law courses including IP Law, Patent Law, Copyright Law, Trademarks & Unfair Competition, Patent Prosecution, IP Licensing, IP & the Internet, and International IP Law.

Mr. Lytvyn graduated with honors from the University of Florida with B.S. degrees in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. His academic accomplishments were recognized with several prestigious scholarships including the Boeing Company Scholarship, Exxon Mobile Scholarship, and UF College of Engineering Dean’s Scholarship. Mr. Lytvyn is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and is a member of the Florida Bar.

Mr. Lytvyn specializes in areas of patent law pertaining to mechanical arts, aerospace technologies, software, and telecommunications. He has prosecuted over a hundred issued United States utility patents and assisted foreign counsel with prosecution of numerous patents issued abroad. Mr. Lytvyn also specializes in post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and has served as lead counsel in a number of high-profile cases.

Janice has been employed as a Case Manager/Paralegal at O’Malley & Langan in Scranton, Pennsylvania since 2012. She worked as a legal assistant/paralegal for 36 years, almost exclusively in the area of personal injury.

She earned an AS in Legal Assistance from King’s College in December 1984. Janice also holds a BA in Psychology, with State Certificate in Elementary Education, and an MS in Educational Computing both from Wilkes University.

Wendy Zagala has been a paralegal for over 20 years with experience in personal injury and has been the Senior Litigation Paralegal and Operations Manager for Amaro Law firm in Houston, Texas for 12 years. As the lead paralegal she manages and coordinates all the firm’s standard operation procedures for their paralegals and litigation staff to follow.

She is a member of NALA and an affiliate member with AIEG, AAJ and ATAA to help develop her paralegal profession.

In her spare time, Wendy enjoys traveling and camping with her husband and two children. Arts and crafts are some of her favorite hobbies.

Laura Reaves, CP – Laura is a Certified Paralegal with Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C. in Montgomery, Alabama where she works for Chris Glover, Managing Attorney for the firm’s Atlanta office. She has worked for Beasley, Allen for 19 years and currently works in the firm’s Personal Injury and Product Liability section.

She is on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Association of Paralegals, Inc., where she currently holds the position of Region II Director.
