Tim Stanley is CEO of Justia. His long-standing vision of making law free for all defines our mission and inspires the Justia team. Prior to Justia, Tim was a co-founder and the CEO of FindLaw. He is on the Board of Trustees of Public.Resource.Org (which won the landmark US Supreme Court case Georgia v. Public.Resource.Org) and is a board member and advisor to numerous private companies, and nonprofit educational organizations. Tim is a member of the ABA, AAJ, and California Bar, has a BS and MS from Stanford, and a JD from Michigan Law School. In his spare time, Tim works out, plays with his pugs, and roots for the Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Seahawks.

Berger Law Firm was established by Bruce Berger, a trial lawyer practicing in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Berger received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Georgia State University in 1976 and his J.D. degree from Mercer Law School in 1979.

His practice is limited to plaintiff’s catastrophic personal injury litigation, with primary focus on fall down cases and premises liability cases. He truly enjoys the art of making strategic decisions to better the outcome. He always keeps in mind the lessons learned from thousands of hands when working to out-maneuver his opponents as a trial lawyer. Ryan Scott is the Chief Litigation Officer at Bailey & Oliver Law Firm in Rogers, Arkansas.

Ryan graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelors degree in Communication and Political Science cum laude, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and a Juris Doctorate. Ryan began his career clerking for Sach Oliver in the Fall of 2007. Ryan now manages the catastrophic personal injury team at Bailey and Oliver Law Firm.

Ryan is member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Board of Directors and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arkansas Bar Association. Ryan’s wife, Sara, is a licensed nursing home administrator who works for a nonprofit adult center. Ryan has 3 sons: Will, Jack, and James. His favorite hobbies are coaching and watching his boys play sports (football, basketball, baseball, MMA) and talking to them when he can – usually in the car driving them to one of these events.

Paul Bland is Executive Director of Public Justice, overseeing its advocacy and litigation of consumer, environmental and civil rights cases, and other operations. He has argued and won more than 40 reported decisions, including at least one case in the U.S. Supreme Court, six of the federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, and ten different state high courts.

He has been counsel in cases which have obtained injunctive and/or cash relief of more than $1 billion for consumers. He has received a number of honors, including the “Vern Countryman” Award from the National Consumer Law Center.

Philip C. Federico is a founding and senior partner with Schochor, Federico and Staton, P.A.

He led the steering committee in the Earl Bradley MD, sexual abuse case which resulted in a settlement of $123 million dollars. Mr. Federico is co-chairing a consortium of attorneys and law firms in Florida and South Carolina in the Opioid Litigation where they represent more than 40 counties and cities. Mr. Federico also heads a consortium of lawyers and law firms in the JUUL Litigation where they represent many counties and cities in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Florida and South Carolina. Currently, Mr. Federico is lead counsel in the environmental case of Cuppels v. Mountaire, involving contaminated groundwater and polluted air of approximately 7,300 people.

In addition to his eminent legal career, Mr. Federico is also active in his community. Since 1995, he has served as a trustee of the Boys’ Latin School of Maryland (President in 2007 and 2008, Emeritus Trustee 2009 to Present). He has also served on the Board of the Associated Italian American Charities of Maryland since 1993, receiving the “Bud Ecalano Award” in 1998. He now also serves on the Board of the Living Classroom Foundation.

Amie Goldberg is both an attorney and a Family APRN. After completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Whittier College, Ms. Goldberg attended nursing school at Emory University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Ms. Goldberg’s professional experience started as a Registered Nurse at Egleston Children’s Hospital, taking care of children with congenital heart disease.

After a few years, she continued working in all areas of the hospital including primary care clinics, inpatient general surgical units and urgent care clinics while attending Kennesaw State University on weekends in order to get her Master’s Degree in Nursing with a specialty of Primary Care Nurse Practitioner/Family Nurse Practitioner. During her time as an APRN, Ms. Goldberg decided to attend law school at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida.

Since graduating Cum Laude, she has mainly practiced in the areas of personal injury and worker’s compensation, fighting for the rights of injured people. Since joining the Romano Law Group, Ms. Goldberg has been the Director of the Opioid Litigation Project and a member of the Juul litigation team. Ms. Goldberg also practices in the area of medical malpractice and nursing home negligence, bringing an inside perspective and knowledge to help get justice for our clients.

Mr. Fraenkel is also often called upon to participate as an aviation and legal source by numerous media, radio and television companies worldwide and has been quoted in various publications on numerous occasions. An article featuring Mr. Fraenkel was written for the Cessna Pilot’s Association magazine and another for an ABA TIPS publication. Mr. Fraenkel was also featured as an aviation law expert on a special NBC segment on Hawaiian Air Tour Safety.

Mr. Fraenkel is a United States Marine Corps veteran. He served as a CH-46 Sea Knight crew chief and A-4 Skyhawk plane captain, receiving numerous commendations during his tour. He also has extensive experience in aviation and vehicle maintenance—including combustion, diesel and turbine engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, structures, avionics systems, ejection systems and airframes. It is this extensive avionic background that has helped Mr. Fraenkel successfully litigate numerous international and domestic airline, commuter, military and general aviation crash cases during a career that has spanned more than two decades.

Mr. Fraenkel has also litigated numerous first party bad faith actions in cases arising out of the failure of insurance companies to defend and/or indemnify its insured, low-balling, fire loss, etc. Specifically, he was part of the team that received the landmark settlement against State Farm arising out of the Northridge Earthquake.

Mr. Fraenkel was also part of the team that litigated the famous, landmark case against PG&E which ultimately was made into the academy award winning movie, “Erin Brokovich.”

Scott Geier is the founder and CEO of Krubera LLC, an investigative firm that specializes in data-driven litigation support and due diligence.

Prior to starting Krubera, Scott spent 15 years as an investigator with Smith & Carson, Inc., where he helped various AmLaw 100 firms prepare for trial in mass tort litigation. His cases included hundreds of Engle-progeny tobacco claims and pharmaceutical actions. After earning his master’s degree in Interactive Media from the University of North Carolina, Scott began exploring ways to merge computer programming with traditional investigative methods, and thereby create a more efficient and insightful trial support platform.

Scott lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with his wife, three children, cat, and pug.

Carma Henson is a partner at Henson Fuerst, where she practices with her husband, David Henson, as well as her brother in law Thomas, and Rachel Fuerst. Carma joined Henson Fuerst, P.A. when she graduated from UNC Law School in 1999, and has spent her career fighting to protect the rights of people who have been hurt, abused, or neglected through no fault of their own. Carma’s practice is focused on handling nursing home abuse and neglect cases—always battling the large corporations that operate nursing homes with a primary goal of making a large profit instead of fulfilling their obligations to take care of our most vulnerable and frail population.
