PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES

Talley Kaleko is an AV rated member of the Florida Bar with more than 19 years’ experience as a practicing trial lawyer throughout the Florida State and Federal courts. Ms. Kaleko has been primarily engaged in civil trial and appellate practice with her practice areas comprised primarily of complex personal injury, products liability, civil rights, appellate practice, and business tort litigation. She has tried numerous cases to verdict and obtained verdicts in the millions. Recently, in 2018, she was awarded one of the top twenty auto jury verdicts in Florida.

In addition to her experience as a trial lawyer, Ms. Kaleko was a Senior Attorney with National Legal Research Group. During her time at NLRG, Ms. Kaleko helped run the Florida Legal Research office, supervising research attorneys and conducting complex research projects for attorneys throughout the State of Florida. Ms. Kaleko authored numerous appellate briefs and prepared legal pleadings and memoranda for cases at all stages of litigation.

During her time running Florida Legal Research, she learned the ins and outs of how a legal research firm can best meet the needs of trial lawyers. She is an excellent research and writer and can effectively produce winning work product for clients, in addition to overseeing the research work of other attorneys.

Talley Kaleko graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University Law School in 2000. While in law school, Ms. Kaleko was a member of the Law Review, was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Transnational Law & Policy and was the recipient of both the University Fellowship and the Florida Bar Foundation Public Service Fellowship. She received Book Awards in numerous classes, including Legal Writing and Evidence Seminar. She was also inducted into the Order of the Coif and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Following law school, Ms. Kaleko clerked for Judge Robert Hinkle in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. Ms. Kaleko was then engaged in private practice as an associate attorney at Cox & Burns, PA in Tallahassee, Florida, focusing primarily on personal injury and civil appellate law.

For past couple years Ms. Kaleko has been with the law firm of Brooks, LeBoeuf, where she still serves in an of-counsel position with the firm. Prior to that Ms. Kaleko was a shareholder and partner at the Law Offices of Robert Scott Cox, representing individual clients and small businesses in primarily personal injury, civil rights and business litigation matters. She has also served as of counsel to Parks and Crump, LLC and participated in many of that firm’s civil rights cases.

In her spare time, Ms. Kaleko enjoys spending time with her husband, Jed, who teaches at Florida State University’s Film School and their three children.
