Terrence M. Connors

Terrence M. Connors is a graduate of Canisius College where he was elected to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities and named a Captain of the Varsity Basketball Team. A member of the Canisius College DiGamma Honor Society, he was Guest of Honor at the 1995 DiGamma Reception. He has served two terms as a member of the Board of Regents of the College and in 2004 was recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus.

He is also a graduate of the University at Buffalo, School of Law and in 1994 he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award for the Private Practice of Law. He is a former member of the Dean’s Advisory Council and was selected by the Law School to be the Chair of the Campaign for UB: Generation to Generation, the National Campaign to increase the endowment of the Law School. The jury selection room in the Law School Courtroom has been named the Terrence M. Connors Jury Selection Room. In 2013, the Buffalo Law Review recognized Terry for his outstanding achievements in the legal profession and his devotion to the School of Law. Terry also serves as Chair of the National Board of Advisors for the Law School’s Advocacy Institute. In 2016, he was presented with the Edwin F. Jaeckle Award, which is the highest honor the School of Law and the Law Alumni Association can bestow.

For eight straight years, Terry Connors was ranked number one by Super Lawyers ® Upstate New York. That designation is based upon balloting of all lawyers in Upstate New York as well as reviewing notable cases, verdicts, awards and other distinguished accomplishments. In June of this year, City & State Magazine named Terry to their Law Power 50 list of New York State’s most influential lawyers.

Mr. Connors is listed in The Best Lawyers in America (New York: Woodward White 1987) in seven separate categories: Bet the Company Litigation, Personal Injury, Commercial Litigation, Legal Malpractice, Medical Malpractice, and Criminal Law white collar and non-white collar. In addition in 2009, he was the Best Lawyers – Personal Injury – Lawyer of the Year, in 2010 and 2012, Best Lawyers – Bet the Company – Lawyer of the Year, and in 2013, Best Lawyers – White Collar Defense – Lawyer of the Year.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Membership in that organization is by invitation only and limited to one percent of the lawyers in each state.

He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Membership in that organization is also by invitation and limited to a total of 500 trial lawyers in the United States.

He has been selected as a top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers and he is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum – Top Trial Lawyers in America.

He has achieved many of the highest verdicts recorded in Western New York history ranging from $58,000,000 to $11,000,000 and he has successfully achieved the highest affirmed verdict on appeal in the State of New York.

After the crash of Continental Flight 3407, Terry was selected as liaison counsel in the litigation involving the wrongful death of 49 individuals.
