Bob Shepherd is arguably the country’s foremost medical-legal visual consultant and illustrator. He is President & CEO of MediVisuals, the nation’s largest and most experienced medical-legal illustration company.

A Board Certified Medical Illustrator since 1992, Bob graduated with honors from the Medical College of Georgia’s accredited medical illustration graduate program in 1980. For over 30 years, he has been a Professional Member of the Association of Medical Illustrators, is a Fellow in that Association.

Bob’s visual training and abilities, in combination with his vast experience working with many of the nation’s foremost attorneys and experts, allow him to provide cost-effective visual solutions to help solve and communicate issues that span beyond medical issues into all types of litigation. He consults on or reviews more than 700 medically related cases a year, develops visual strategies for demonstrative aids to support case arguments, and works with a staff that includes 13 other accredited medical illustrators.

Bob has illustrated numerous medical textbooks and chapters dealing with a wide variety of subject matter including Brain Injuries, Trauma, Complications of Surgery, Foot and Ankle Injuries & Surgeries, and Gastroenterology. In 2015, he co-authored the chapter “Basic Medicine and Anatomy for the Personal Injury Lawyer” in Anatomy of a Personal Injury Lawsuit, Fourth Edition, edited by John Romano. Bob also co-authored the article “3-D Printing” in the December 2015 issue of TRIAL magazine.

The Association of Medical Illustrators has presented Bob with multiple “Awards of Excellence in Medical-Legal Illustration,” and he has overseen the development of dozens of other award-winning illustrations and animations.
