John and Nancy Romano, plus our Connectionology® Team welcome you back for another great webinar!
Register today for “From Panic to Power: Embracing Fear in the Courtroom” on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from 3:00pm-4:30pm EST – Eastern Standard Time.
Here is a little bit of information about our three incredible speakers:
- Kevin (Coach K) is a certified CTI coach who works alongside his wife, Sari de la Motte at Sari DLM Inc. to help civil plaintiff attorneys break free from fear-driven lawyering and redefine success beyond verdicts.
- He works with high-performing trial attorneys across the country, leading coaching programs and monthly mindset calls within the H2H Playground community, focused on shifting mindset, moving past fear, and helping attorneys thrive both personally and professionally.
- Sharif Gray is a co-host of Courtroom Stories and Tactics, formerly RVA Trial Lawyers: Virginia Trial Lawyers Podcast and he is a trial lawyer at Broughton Injury Law. He tried cases as a United States Army JAG Officer and as a Drug and Vice Prosecutor, served as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk at a trial court and now takes cases to trial as a personal injury lawyer. His record is evidence of this: in the Army, he successfully defended hundreds of soldiers at trial, in adverse administrative proceedings, and under investigation; as a prosecutor, he pursued justice for victims and earned a reputation among judges and defense attorneys for being persuasive and fair and as a personal injury lawyer, he has won millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements.
- Sharif graduated valedictorian and as a distinguished military graduate from the Virginia Military Institute. Among other honors, his class elected him to serve as a prosecutor on VMI’s Honor Court, where he prosecuted honor offenses and first discovered his love for trial work. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia. During law school, he served on the Virginia Journal of Criminal Law’s Managing Board; led an Army Reserve Drill Sergeant Unit and clerked for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, and the United States Solicitor General’s Office.
- Penn Crawford earned his undergraduate degree from East Carolina University and went to work on Capitol Hill as part of the Oversight and Investigations staff for the House Commerce Committee. Eager to pursue a career as a lawyer, Penn enrolled at the University of Richmond’s T. C. Williams School of Law, where he served on the Journal of Law in the Public Interest and was the recipient of the school’s prestigious Williams Scholarship. As a law student, Penn says, he heard the best advice that he ever received from the Honorable Robert R. Merhige Jr., who was longtime judge with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
- Upon graduation, he joined a general practice law firm and gained experience in a wide range of legal matters, including criminal defense law and commercial litigation. One of the cases he worked on led to the Virginia Supreme Court’s first interpretation of the Virginia Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) Act. Penn also served as a guardian ad litem for Richmond-area children.
- Penn received the “Top 40 Under 40 Trial Attorneys” standards of excellence award from The National Trial Lawyers in 2012 and 2013. He has authored several published legal articles and served as a speaker at educational seminars. In 2013, he was named to the Board of Commonwealth Community Trust, which administers third-party trusts for people with disabilities, and served as President of the Board from 2021-2022.
