Lyn G. Kiehl

Lyn Gaudet Kiehl is an attorney with a forensic psychology and behavioral neuroscience background. She is the founding Director of MINDSET. MINDSET has has been hired in 200+ cases since 2013 and developed a network of over 60 medical and mental health experts, all with a shared commitment to the responsible use of science in the courtroom. Lyn is the former Research Director for the Center for Law, Science & Innovation (LSI) at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, the first and largest academic center focused on the intersection of law and science. Her research focus while at the Center was the ethical, legal, and social implications of emerging technologies, including neuroscience and genetics, as well as the use of neuroimaging in capital criminal cases. Her present research is in the translation of scientific research into effective legal practice and policy, with a particular focus on neuroethics as it relates to legal applications of neuroimaging, both in the United States and abroad.
