Rather than focusing on any single trial or strategy, Spencer will talk about something that underpins every significant victory—managing medical treatment—a critical aspect of personal injury cases that often falls on paralegals. As busy trial practitioners, staying on top of our case dockets and consistently reviewing each case to ensure treatment is progressing as it should is not easy and takes many processes and procedures. Spencer will talk about the processes at Reyes Browne Law for managing over 10,000 active cases, and the metrics he uses to stay on track and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. He’ll explain how to train paralegals to ask the right questions and ensure this is done consistently, whether the case is an uncomplicated soft-tissue injury or a more complex pain management case.

Spencer will also cover how to ensure continuity of care throughout the case, so by the time we get to trial, the life care plan (even for a soft-tissue case with limited treatment, but life-long injuries such as herniated disks) is a credible document. Finally, he’ll discuss how to efficiently review cases and effectively present medical evidence at trial, ensuring it supports the full scope of a client’s injuries.
